Barin Osho

Artist member since 2022
Toronto, Ontario

Barin Osho is a Nigerian multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Hamilton, Canada. With an interest in the repetitive manifestations of biological patterns in seemingly unconnected facets of life, Barin works at comprehending the interconnection of abstract and reality through a whimsical and organic painting style. Conceptually, she is inspired by the belief that the subconscious mind makes consistent and continual attempts to inform the conscious mind of its true nature, and she thus examines its influence on the depiction of line and movement through her works.

Barin invites the viewers of her work to slow down and connect with her efforts at self-understanding and hopes to incite courage for them to do the same.
